Today I’m going to talk about something a little different.. I will be talking about a clothing “recycling” project I’m working on. This is something I’ve attempted a few times in the past but have been fairly unsuccessful. I’ve decided to restore an old shirt (see below)..

This shirt was going to be thrown away due to the poor quality and rips as a result of how long this shirt has been worn. However, I decided to keep in and try and make a new shirt out of what is left of this shirt. I’m excited for this project and a chance to show my creativity. As you can see the progress is slow so far but I will keep you informed of my progress and my final plan for this shirt. Fingers crossed it works out🤞

today we travelled around Koh Samui, Thailand.

First stop was to the Big Buddha temple..

It’s a small temple but lots to do, there is a lovely view when you get to the top, overlooking the sea and island. You can also be blessed by a monk or write your name on a tile to be placed into the temple.

Next stop: Tree top cafe!

This is a beautiful cafe in a tree, you have to take multiple hanging tree bridged to get to it, which is actually a very fun experience. It is placed next to the 📍Tan Rua waterfall,

WARNING! Don’t go in the summer months (August, July) as when we got there it had all dried up🥺.

Nonetheless the cafe exceeded my expectations!

Next stop: Na muang Waterfall

This was very cool, water was running however not very powerfully (bc of the heat). Some people swam in the waterfall which was very cool. It was quite busy but worth the view!

Next stop: Woo bar at W hotel

This was a very awesome water bar, in the day however you must have a minimum spend on 1000 bahts pp. but after 6pm there is no minimum spend. We went at around 6:25pm but the bar was very busy and loud! The sunset was beautiful tho, I would recommend trying to get there earlier!

Last stop: Chaweng- Beach!

We had a lovely drink at the 📍elephant bar, which had comfy beachside bean bags to sit on!

Then we went to the dara serene restaurant on the beach! The prices weren’t too bad and the experience was very lovely! Would definitely recommend this beach as there is lots of bars/clubs and restaurants 🙂

Heya, it’s Isabelle

We flew from Bangkok to Koh Samui. We are staying at Choeng mon beach (a gorgeous beach may I add). I am absolutely loving it here, the weather is very humid and hot (like 34°c) so going in the pool/ sea to cool down is a necessity!

I am going to talk to you about my journey in Thailand🇹🇭 I am so so excited to talk about this and my time in BANGKOK!

So Bangkok is incredible, although very busy! There is a developed area called “downtown Bangkok” and this is very high rise and developed, outer areas are in poverty however 😦 . I stayed near Chinatown, BKK. It is so lovely there and the night life is epic.

As you can see… very busy!

TIPS:

I wouldn’t recommend getting round by taxi as the traffic can be terrible! In the day, the best options are either Tuk Tuk (as seen below) or get a grab (like a taxi you book online but much cheaper than a taxi)

Must do!:

– vist the grand palace and all the temples

– go to a rooftop bar (I recommend “the roof Siam@siam“ but it really depends where u are staying)

– Chatuchak Weekend Market (has the best deals/prices)

– Floating market, I suggest taking a long tail boat down a canal to visit this!

overall, I had an excellent time! The culture is incredible and the views spectacular. The temples were very impressive, but very busy too! I ended up going over the Queen’s birthday and saw the king too! Whatever you do.. don’t go into downtown Bangkok at night in a taxi! AHH THE TRAFFIC!!!!
